Sometimes, it is the little things in life that make your day. My "little thing" this week: a drying rack for the bottles we use to feed milk to the baby calves. There are lots of big things going on at the farm right now: makeover for the parlor, the calf nursery, and my house in various stages of being painted. Whenever the digital camera uses the legs it has sprouted recently to come back to us, I'll show you all these big things....for now, you'll have to make due with slightly blurry cell phone pics!
Hey its Beck I was wondering how many calves can be born at the same time.
ReplyDeleteAs many as want to! Just like human babies, there may be several all due to calve at the same time. Our biggest day of calving at our farm was 5 in one day! That was a LONG day, and I have no plans of repeating it. Typically we'll only get 1 or 2 new calves a day, and then we may skip a week...you never know what Mother Nature will do. We had a new baby girl this morning!
DeleteDoes that room smell good ? what if the milk is rotten what will you do???
